Research shows that, Cardiovascular disease and Diabetes (CVD & DM), two major diseases of Chronic diseases, are closely related. The increment of 1 unit (%) of HbA1c increased cardiovascular mortality by 52% and 7% in type 1 and 2 diabetic subjects, respectively[1].

 

According to World Heart Federation, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of mortality for people who live with diabetes.
